Course Description
This qualification reflects the role of community services workers involved in the delivery, management
and coordination of person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities.
At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously within their
scope of practice under broad directions from senior management.
Workers support people to make change in their lives to improve personal and social wellbeing and may
also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers. They may also undertake
case management and program coordination.

Career Boost Program (Government Funding)
The Program delivers training designed to help individuals develop the higher-level skills necessary to secure employment, advance their careers, or progress to further education and training through related university or tertiary qualifications.
Eligibility Requirement
- 15 years of age or over and no longer at school
- A Queensland permanent resident
- An Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant),
temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency - Not hold or be already undertaking a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification
- (Certificate III qualifications completed whilst at school will not exclude you from accessing this funding)
